Product imagery
Every fabric image on this site is generated programmatically as vector artwork. These are geometric interpretations of traditional Indonesian ornament — not photographs of real cloth, and not reproductions of any particular artisan's work.
Because of this, the images cannot be used to judge the actual colour, texture, or quality of a fabric.
Cultural information
Notes about a motif's origin, the technique used, and its cultural background are written as general orientation for buyers. They are condensed summaries and do not replace academic sources or the accounts of the artisan communities who hold those traditions.

Motif names and regions of origin are given as descriptive information. Kainku claims no ownership of, representation of, or official affiliation with any craft centre, customary community, or institution named.
