The principle
Fabric is cut to the length you order. That cut length cannot be sold on as a whole roll, so cut fabric generally cannot be returned simply because you changed your mind.
This does not affect your rights where the goods you received are defective or not what you ordered.
What can be returned
We accept returns or exchanges in the following cases:
- The fabric has a material defect, such as a broken thread, a stain, or a hole
- The motif or colour delivered differs from what was ordered
- The length received is short of the ordered length beyond the 2 cm tolerance
- The parcel was damaged in transit so that the fabric is unusable
What cannot be returned
Some situations fall outside the returns policy:
- A change of mind after the fabric has been cut
- Reasonable colour variation between the screen and the actual cloth
- Fabric that has been washed, cut further, or sewn
- Shrinkage after washing on natural-fibre fabrics
- A miscalculation of the required length by the buyer
Time limit
Raise a request within 7 calendar days of receiving the parcel. Include the order number, photographs of the fabric showing the problem, and photographs of the packaging where transit damage is involved.
The process
Once a request arrives we review the photographs and respond within 2 working days. If the request is approved, you may choose a replacement in the same motif and length, or a refund.
Where a material defect is confirmed, Kainku covers the cost of return shipping.
Refunds
Refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 7 working days of the fabric being received and inspected. How quickly the money reaches your account depends on your bank or payment provider.
Swatches
To reduce the risk of an unsuitable choice, swatches can be requested through the Contact page before committing to a large order.
