About this fabric
Endek applies the ikat technique to the weft threads only, which keeps the motif small and tightly spaced compared to double ikat. Lozenges sit in an even grid with terracotta accents between them. A cotton and rayon blend at 160 gsm, which drapes softly while still holding a pressed fold.
Well suited to
- Formal shirts and collared tops
- Skirts and culottes

Care
- Hand wash, or machine wash cold on a gentle cycle

About the motif
Endek is worn widely in Bali for temple dress and uniforms alike, and in 2021 the provincial government encouraged its use through a circular on wearing endek on set days. As a result, endek motifs are now produced in a much wider range of colours.
